They also inaugurated a new wing consisting of 23 private rooms, a new ICU Room, and fully automated equipment for Hematology, Clinical Chemistry and Immunology plus a Water Processing Facility. STATE OF THE HOSPITAL ADDRESS. General Santos City Mayor Jun Acharon acknowledges the doctors, nurses, and staff of the General Santos City Hospital during his State of the Hospital Address on February 13, 2009 at the hospital lobby in time for its 35th Foundation Anniversary. Later the mayor inaugurated the opening of the ground floor of the new building which houses a 35-bed Ob-Gyne Ward, a wing with 21 air-conditioned Private Rooms, and 2 Wards; a 4-bed ICU Room, fully automated laboratory equipment and a Drinking Water Processing Facility project (in partnership with Dow Chemical Pacific Limited), among others.
